Are you anxious to start therapy? Nervous? Curious? Perhaps excited? All of these are "normal" feelings to have prior to meeting your therapist. Perhaps this is your first time or you're a "pro" and ready to jump in. Whichever path led you to this point, I'm glad youre here. You took the first, very hard step by making the decision and showing up to your first session. Now what?
Take a breath, let it out and trust the process. It will be hard at times and often you may even feel a bit worse before you start feeling better. Don't get discouraged: your therapist will listen and guide you through the bumps by working together with you, challenging you at times but always keeping your mental health and well being their top priority.
Welcome to therapy!
